HazelAnn Christin, Janis Hansen and Pauline Richmond attended the funeral services for Past State President David Prisco held in Orange County.  David was a true example of what the Sons of Italy is all about.  A true gentleman with a giving and fraternal heart.  He will be missed.  The services were beautifully done.  Past National and Past State President Frank DeSantis gave the beautiful eulogy for our Brother David.  The Interment was very moving with a military service complete with taps and presenting of the flag to David’s brother.  All members present placed a flower as a remembrance to David.

Farewell Brother David – you will be missed – farewell.

Vincent’s family later relocated to Hanford, CA in 1944.  He grew up on 6th Street next to their relatives, the Nardinis.  His father was an early member of the Hanford Lodge.  Vickie was a member of the Enrico Carusco Lodge and he asked that she transfer to the Hanford Lodge in honor of her Nono.  She has legally changed her middle name to Baldini so she can proudly carry on his name.  He was a loving and caring man who will be missed by friends and family.  Vickie would like to thank Debbie Nardini and Louise and Tony Tesoriere for attending her dad’s funeral.  And a thank you to the Lodge for the sympathy card that was received for the family.

Pauline Richmond made an official visit to our Lodge.  She gave us a synopsis as to what went on at the National Convention.  A great deal of work was carried out.  Pauline stated she received the minutes which were 35 pages long.  She stated they will be available on the Grand Lodge and National Websites.  Pauline was presented with a gift from our Lodge for her attendance.

Venice, Florence, Rome & Sorrento

We’ve picked four iconic cities at the pulse of Italy’s vibrant culture, both past and present. Venice brings romance to the forefront, with sprawling Baroque palaces and meandering, gondola-dotted canals. The Renaissance is tangible in Florence, where the presence of the world’s greatest artists can still be felt. In Rome, history is ever-present, from the crumbling Colosseum to the Forum. Seaside views and sunsets pair perfectly in Sorrento. Experience what Italy is all about as you make your way from one city to the next.  You will walk for about 2 hours daily across mostly flat terrain, including cobblestone streets and unpaved paths, with some hills and stairs.  More info on our website:   http://sonsofitaly1543.org/
